🙁 Just obtained a CL767 from a friend and it worked for all of 10 seconds and cut off. I have not been able to get it started since. I have checked the filter, water bottle & condenser all look clean and ready to go. Any ideas what this could be?

If it’s dead dead, having checked the fuse (?), I would look at the door. There is a striker peg on the door which works a switch in the dryer. This acts as a master switch for the whole machine. Over time, heat can distort the peg, so it doesn’t always work the switch. Also, if the door hinge breaks, the door may not sit as it should – again the door won’t work the switch.

Start there and see how you go. Power off if you go inside……. :plug:

Just a thought if it has an extension lead connected is the plug fuse/lead rated at 13A?
