called by client in a panic, she had decided to wash the throwovers off the lounge furniture. estimate around 20kg of wetfabric inside drum!
so machine struggles to complete cycle and kicks in error code 8E
visted last night
symptoms on spin cycle for test purposes
machine starts cycle
motor osolates forward/reverse directions for 10 secs
error code kicks in 8E
have removed motor, no signs of burnout
client says this machine cost them over £600…is it fair to say samsung make good cameras!
any advice please..I suspect the mod has shot it, due to high current draw
many thanks

Hi Graham
OVER CURRENT ERROR – Display shows 8E .
– IPM fault signal (that is caused by the overload of MICOM INT0 during motor action) is sensed.
IPM : Integrated power module. , IPM controls motor.
– If the fault signal (low signal) happens to be sensed even one time during cleansing/rinsing stage,
the motor stops immediately.- During Cleansing or Rinsing
When the overload is sensed, the motor stops immediately and then proceeds to the next water-flow action.
If the stopping of the motor working is happens in one direction ten times,
“8E” Error is displayed.
When the overload is sensed, the motor stops to work at once and then feeds back to the initial stage unbalance sensing.
When it happens at more than 800rpm, the process is stopped -Power S/W Off can clear the overload error. Is this any help

Participantthanks mike
top details
so are we saying we can reset fault readout, by just switching off on/off. if so at which point do you activate sw.
bearing in mind the motor runs foward/reverse for 10secs, before 8E flashes up.
