Machine attempts to spin during wash cycle have noticed that it only happens when rotateing in anti clockwise direction. It even attempts to spin when drum is full of water in rinse cycle
I suspect its the circuit board attached to the programmer which appears to regulate the speed of motor at fault. I have checked posts going back a year or so on this forum and found no posts with a similar problem to this.
Would be very grateful if someone in the know would offer comments on this particular fault and other possible causes of such a problem if known.
The problem is usually due to the Tacho Generator Coil going open circuit 😉 Maybe just that the terminals into the motor terminal block are broken at some point even 💡
Easy job to sort and we may well have an expert to fix it for you by clicking on this link:Repairs@
So the main drive motor is the problem and not the programmer as I thought, and the part of the motor that is causing the problem is the part that governs the speed and is called the tacho generator coil.
The next question is can that part be repaired or replaced or is best to replace the main drive motor in its entirety?
