I have a candy condenser dryer, and the “empty water” is staying on when there is no water in the tray. Is there something I can do to fix this, or do I need to call an engineer? I have checked to see if the water tray is blocked somehow, and it isnt. I cannot get to the back of the machine to check the connection where the water tray goes into though.

It sounds as if the float switch has jammed in the “full” position.

It’s basically a piece of polystyrene that floats in the water container and operates a microswitch.

Not an expensive job to fix I wouldn’t imagine as long as that’s the problem, although a little tricky to get at.

Check Repairs@ for an engineer if you’re not sure, or if you do decide to have look, please unplug 1st :zap:

Thank you Dave, I have emailed an engineer through this website. 🙂
