    The door on my NEF B1421 Oven is failing to snap shut with no obvious signs of obstruction. The gap is just enough to let the heat escape.

    Has anyone any experience as to what may cause this and is there a simple remedy ?

    Sounds like worn hinges and or receivers.

    I thought that might be the case but after only 2 years use I had hoped for more endurance.

    Hinges are p/no 096784 (l/h), 096785 (r/h). Email to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk for ordering and confirmed pricing.

    Hi,

    I’ve got the same problem with my Mum’s Neff B1420 oven (E-NR B1420B0GB/03), but couldn’t find any hinges for it on the UKW site – could someone tell me what parts to order, and how difficult they might be to fix?

    I’m reasonably handy with the spanners, but have never replaced oven door hinger before 🙂

    The two hinges are the same part numbers as above – 096784 and 096785 but these are BSH ( Bosch ) part numbers – ring 08448928921 to order spares – approx £13 Per hinge
    Its not too difficult a job if you have some basic DIY skills – Remove the door from the oven and then undo the screws on the door to release the outer and inner door panels , revealing the hinges .

    Check out the parts finder on the BSH website for your oven and you will see an exploded view of the door . This should explain everything pictorially

    You can get them through UKW by mailing spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk with the part numbers, for a similar price.

    We need the money to keep the site afloat, after all. 😀

    Thanks for the help guys – I have emailed UKW – it’s not the first time I’ve bought parts from them, but it is the first time I didn’t find the answer on the forum straight away and had to ask 🙂
