ParticipantThis is probably an easy question for someone. My Neff double oven is great but the main oven stopped heating up. Fan works so i think it is the element that has gone. tried to replace but i cant get the screws that hold the front plate inside the oven to unscrew any ideas. worried about using wd40 as it may be flamable. I would be greatful for any advice. I have taken the oven out of its case to disconect wiring to element. Hope to hear soon. thanks in advance. [/img]

These are always tight and the heat doesn’t help π
Perseverance I’m afraid to be honest.

No problem with a small squirt of wd40 to help loosen screws , just wash it off when/if you get the back plate off. You may still get slight smell when you get heat back in the oven (new element) but it`ll pass in a few minutes.
Power off at all times of course :zap:

bit of wd40, then a pair of mole grips as tight on to screw head as poss.(sometimes have to file one edge flat to get good hold)

Unplug then remove oven from housing, remove back panel to access the sharp end of the screws, add a little WD40 and the use mole grips on screw threads.
Donβt leave cooked food in the oven, as this contains moisture
