    Grateful if someone could help me with this.
    I’ve got a Zanussi DE6544.
    When I try to start the wash cycle the SID & Normal lights flash but there are no other signs of activity from pumps etc..
    This happened a couple of days ago and I removed the bowl filter, took off the pump impellor cover and cleaned out the green filter thats inside the bowl. Did’nt fix it immediately, but after pulling on the drain pipe it burst into life. Worked OK for a while but its failed again with the same symptoms.
    I reckon its a blockage somewhere, but not sure where.
    Are there other filters I’ve missed?

    Can you post up the PNC please from the rating plate around the door, there are a few versions of this model.

    Ah, it’s one of those.

    From the bank of lights, they should be mapped out with 3 vertical then 5 vertical

    Can you indicate which are the flashing one’s please.

    Hi Dave,

    Must have been chewing on dishwasher tablets 😯
    Why I said the SIDS and Normal lights flash I don’t know!

    The top two lamps on the 5 vertical are flashing. That is the wash and dry symbols. The other three are off.

    I think you meant that the bank of 3 lights are horizontal not vertical?
    There are also 4 of them. labeled right to left Economy, Quick, Normal and intensive (SID).
    Only the selected program light is on. All others are off.

    Just had another play with this and found that the Quick wash program only lights up the top vertical lamp. All others still light the top two.

    Hope I did’nt confuse you too much with my initial post.

    I think you’re going to have to take a photo of the control panel and email it to me, indicating which lights are flashing 😉
