Hello chaps,
Any easy way to unblock a miele w404 plus conditioner compartment. I bought this machine although don’t generally repair miele. The holes are too far back to reach inside, took the lid off, it is electric water divert, don’t want to break this. My wife is giving me funny looks!

They do tend to get blocked up, you sure you got the Model num’ correct, i think you may not have a W404 as this was made in 1960 & perhaps a W404 SB, which was made more recently, anyhows if its got a water diverter, the top of the soap drawer is Part num’ 5969591 priced at £72.32 + v.a.t. Check that motor is moving divertor, you can look down on drawer top & see legend, this should change when program is selected & you should see it moving & if it shows softener legend in window it means that water diverter is in proper position, there may however be a blockage preventing the water going into drawer below, the drawer can be accessed by removing 2 or 3 screws at front, lid should lift off, plastic type clips securing it at the sides i think.
