I only ask as that, for some unknown reason, I am unable to download the servive manual at this point.

You won’t be able to download the service manual from anywhere I’m afraid, only the user manual.
We aren’t able to give blow by blow details for legal reasons, which part of the dishwasher are you trying to gain access to ?

Hi dave,
I would like to trace the wiring from where the cable enters at the base. My guess from reading this forum, and from the fact that I removed one of the side panels yesterday to reveal absolutely nothing, is that I may need access to the bottom.
We have had problems with mice in the past, and it is possible that one has got inside and is causing the problem.
PS. I work with electronics so know what precautions to take.

Access to any area of a DWF40 will require the removal of one or more panels with a pozidrive screwdriver…that’s it!
Caution is required when dealing with suspect Rodent damage as a small mouse can access all areas of the machine without a screwdriver. It therefore will be necessary to inspect all areas for chewed pvc cables, rubber hoses and insulation materials within. 🙁
