ParticipantHi,
I have a Hoover AE130 washing machine approx 5 or 6 yrs old.
I am wondering if there is a problem with a pressure sensor system.
It seems to wash and spin OK but will not distribute spin the washing during the rinse phase. Water fills to 1/2 way up the window then drains then fill/drains again and again without the rinse spin kicking in. Clicking is evident during the filling phase – I assume from the pressure switch, but this does not let the washer spin at all. 🙁
To complicate things slightly with a small amount of washing and using the Delicates setting – the washer seems to work during all phases OK, the main problem is seen on the Cotton and Synthetics setting with a full load of washing.I have tried to clean the pressure chamber out (it was not that dirty) and this did no good. The pressure tube visually appears OK, and blowing/sucking down it produces a click from the switch.
Is this likely to be a pressure switch issue or something else? ❓
Thanks for your help.

Probably the motor brushes or armature are the culprits rather than a fill/drain/pressure switch problem. 😉

It sounds like a module problem 😕
It’s very hard to tell without seeing the machine first-hand and that is mostly a guess.
I’d strongly recommend finding an local expert using this link…

Gents thanks for your advise, and promptness. 🙂
Martin, forgot to mention – I have just replaced the brushes on the washer as recently the unit would not spin at all. Since then the unit is spinning OK for distribution, washing, final spin so I don’t think the motor/armature is the issue here.

Dodgy relay on the Timer/Module board then?
