    My brother has this machine and says if washing a light load it works ok, but on a heavier load there is a squealing noise from the top of the drum and it will not turn…

    Any ideas as to the problem..

    I don’t know what that could be! 😕 Unless there’s a foreign body in the tub.

    Have you tried Repairs@ ?

    AWG338? Merloni built washerdryer – induction motor, so drive belt slack is most likely cause of the fault. There are no brushes on this machine.

    Power off if investigating………
