    Hi,

For no apparent reason whatsoever my oven, about 7 years old, decided to shatter the outer pane of glass in its double glazed door. I’ve removed the door and broken glass fairly easily, but the outer pane seems to have simply been hotglued on.

I’m assuming its some kind of heat resistant glue, and I dont have any, so I’m looking for a quote on a replacement door unit in its entirity, or , I suppose information/help on replacing just the front glass, and whether this is just one of those things or there’s something more fundamental wrong with the oven.

Model number is BS-692-SS, Branded ‘Tricity Bendix Professional’, fitted single electric oven.

I’m also looking for some of the little plastic fixing plugs that hold the fan guard and lightbulb panel on for an AEG Micromat 1000, Model ‘micromat 1251-E’. ServiceForce want an amazing 50 quid for them.

The Electrolux online parts finder appears to be broken at the moment so I cant check there…

    Thanks for any help 😉

    Matt

The outer glass will come with the brackets already glued in place, don’t chuck the handle or any other parts out as you can’t buy the whole door 😉

Can you post back the PNC or ENR for the microwave and I’ll check in the morning for you for both, I can idetify the oven glass but no price as the trade part of Electrolux’s spares is also down 🙁

The microwave only has the following information on its tag:

    AEG Micromat 1251-E
    E-Nr.611.840 710
    E EH 8743

When I talk about the door glass being glued in I mean literally that – while the inner glass is suspended on little clippy brackets the outer glass was held in by a circle of bulbous glue running around all the edges, there are no clips visible.

    Eek.

As the glass has shattered, it is part number 357 82 64-17/2 at £68.42 ex VAT and carriage.

Same email address if you’d like ordering 🙂

Excellent – the glue is described as ‘operational to 230degrees c’. The oven runs to, as I recall, 250. Is that going to be problematic? 😉

If not I’ll drop an email and order the parts ASAP. Thanks.

I don’t think you’ll need it to be honest, as mentioned, the glass will come with any brackets etc already in place.

But yes, it’s fine for oven doors etc.

    Dave.
