ParticipantDon’t know generally about you all but we have been slack of work for around the last three weeks. Various reps say the same, Couple of guys I know who work with Whirlpool and Service Force say they have had a very noticable downturn of work.
What are the experiences here and also some geographical areas would be useful for a overall picture.

We are very quiet on sales, but repairs seem to be fairly busy 🙂

Still doing 6 -7 calls a day this week – booked up ’till Monday. Slowed slightly but I’ve been run ragged since October: glad of the breather as I’ve got to finish my kitchen! 😳 Not too bad, only been doing it since November!!

In the Kingdom of Fife it has been dead for weeks now, even auld Reekie has dried up used to be jumping, the only place this way seems to be Aberdeen which has always been busy.

Work load steady for the last six months, although slight fluctuation just before school holidays, usually make up for it the week after. Obviously parents taking kids out of school before official hols. Something in the papers this week about this.

Seems a mixed bag then ! Our High Street is very quiet at the moment with nearly all the shops complaining of a downturn in customers, thats the dentist, card shops, hairdressers, florist, the pubs, as I say evrybody regardless pf trade seems to be struggling for customers.
At the best of times there’s not much ryhme or reason to trade but at the moment its just like someones turned a tap off! Although interest rates are only 4.5 {e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} held again today by the BOE , I really do wonder if everyting like all the Taxation and huge utillite bills are finally depressing this entire market. With hikes in the Gas and Electric, Council Tax, Wages static I have wondered where it would lead. perhaps the economy is in for a rough ride.

The one thing that does worry me is the MASSIVE public sector pensions deficit, according to todays Telegraph the real figure for the NHS, teachers and armed forces alone, is underfunded by almost £1 billion. that is around £40,000 for every household in the country. This money will have to come from central government, and we all know that they have no money of their own, they get it from us :clown:
On the work side I have been very steady, a quite Monday on the phone, which is something of a rarity is almost always followed by a ‘go mad’ Friday.
Funnily enough, I was going to post about the fact that until recently I had been doing one or two WMA drum/bearing changes a week but have had none for almost a month, thinking the rubena seal has cured the problem, but I have had one today that needs a drum assy, nice earner for Monday AM. 🙂

Monitoring the stats here and in other places as well as incoming links and general searches I can tell you that the internet is quiet this week, or has been for the last few days in general. It also seems a bit quieter call-wise the past week or so.
But as usual a couple of hours can change it all. 😕
