creda continental twin fan oven – model 48167
first off the bottom oven stopped heating I thought it must be the element..I havn’t got round to replacing it yet
but now the top oven has stopped as well about 2 weeks after the bottom oven.
The grill works ok,. but is it really the elements or are there fuses inside these ovens or what else could be causing this to happen. I want tobe sure before I spend the money.
No fuses inside the cooker that could cause this, In most cases you can see physical damage on the element but not always. You cannot see/test the upper oven elements without dismantling the cooker. Also the controls and even door switches themselves can cause ‘no heat’ problems. If you have not got suitable test equipment and electrical competence, I would strongly advise you to seek help from someone who has. Try the link in my sig. Power off if you intend to proceed yourself.
Right the controls caused the ‘no heat’ problem for upper oven, when powered on “24 hrs” in display was flashing, so changed that and its working OK now.
Still no heat in lower oven. No damage visible on the element. Is it possible for me to check if its OK? How?
I refer you to my first post, if there are no visible signs of damage, the proper electrical test equipment, and experience is required to determine the condition of the element. with the cooker isolated from the mains at all times.
