smeg dishwasher dwi 710e, this machine has five programme lights fault is number 2 & 4 lit 5 flashing constantly unable to cancel by holding p button in heater ok pump etc checks ok has board crashed

have a look in the ‘Known error codes ‘ thread at the top of this forum, a few Smegging, Smeg bits and pieces in there for starters. 🙂

Hi jd and welcome 🙂

For future reference you can find many of the known error codes at the top of this forum including the Smeg ones.

This is a typical unlisted one and will nearly always be the dispenser solenoid s/c or o/c causing mayhem with the PCB 😉

while browsing i found the error codes you mention will try the dispenser solenoid as you suggest.

Incidentally, I have had a couple of these faulty dispenser solenoids only show up when you gently flex the contacts on them and watch the circuit disappear on your meter. 😉
