ParticipantCreda 48149V 41100084 built in, under-counter double oven.
Grill regulator required. (or info as to where I’m going wrong)
Original one was a Strix unit (burnt out). Found what I thought would replace it – Hotpoint grill regulator type 41ER101C1P. Fitted OK, no wiring probs, all numbered tags present = straight swap. Info on this regulator says it replaces Strix units. But……
Grill works on full power only and regulator doesn’t ‘click off’ when turned back until it gets to almost the ‘off’ position. Would seem like the regulator is faulty. Is it suitable for this job? Connections show the replacement to be Diamond H type 31ER15HT (pt. no. 5031681934372). 😕
Will this unit be tagged / numbered differently? If so, does it come with conversion sheet? Looks as if the switch and stat parts are separate in Connections photograph.
Why do you always have these problems when it’s your son’s teacher’s machine??
Serious need to look good on next visit!!! 8) 😆
Thanks in advance,

Is it a single or duel grill

It’s a 4 bar ‘solarplus’ type unit. Don’t think it’s dual circuit as the numbers on the knob only go 1-6; no selection for half grill.

The actual p/no listed is 6226105 – looks like a long shaft energy reg with a selector switch mounted on the front.
The “31” code means it’s single circuit, btw.

On Partfinder, the original Strix is part number 6100762 which is the 41ER101C1P 😕

Strange, they appear to be exactly the same simmerstat with different part numbers 😕
Order the cheapest 😀

Mine came with no instructions; complained to Connect, they sent a replacement, still no instructions!! I took great care to wire it correctly, and checked each wire individually. But, I am not infallable, so if Wilf is right, how can I check this back? I also didn’t use the link wire as I couldn’t see where it would serve any purpose. Could this be my problem? If so, where does it go?
Think I’m going to need that diagram please Goose; but my e’mail is down on my site (er.. page) so I’ve left you an alternative e’mail address in your private message box.
Thanks for everyone’s help so far, but if you see a mushroom cloud filling the southern skies you will know why…… :zap:April 10, 2006 at 9:25 pm #172546maltheviking

I have the wiring for Diamond H 40ER101C1 and 41ER101, I think the connections should be similar you may be able to work something out or for future reference.
41ER101. Diamond H to Strix
2 To 2
P1to P1
4 To 4
4A(n) to S2
If the 40ER101C1 is replacing either a Strix or Ego then the wire previously connected to terminal 4 should now be connected to Terminal 4A on the Diamond H
The rest are 1 for 1Hope this is of some help they can be a pain to swap sometimes.
If you have an account with Parts Centre, give them a ring they might have the relevent info. -
