ParticipantI wonder if anyone can help me. I have a Bosch WFL 2450 acting strangely. The cycle reverts back to ready at random , usually after a few seconds of a cycle starting. Also when it does this at the start of a cycle I switch to OFF and back to the cycle setting again and the machine tries to drain water, even though it hasn’t filled. When it does manage to complete the wash part of the cycle it rarely spins, but reverts back to ready. I have checked and there are no blockages, and the water is all draining away. Can anyone point me in the right direction, and I dont mean the nearest tip!! 😉

Hi
Check for earth leakage first but does sound like module to me, had a few doing this.
Power off before attempting any repair :plug:Greg

When you say “Module” do you mean the circuit board at the front of the machine, and if so does this make the machine too expensive to be worth repairing?

Is it WFL2450GB/12 ??

ParticipantSorry, I missed that bit. It says WFL2450UK/12. Presumably if it is the module, then it is not a repairable item.

Hi
Well If it is the module p/no 267088 its approx £118 +Vat etc
The machine was also made in sept 2001 so its no spring chicken, but they are a good machine.
If in doubt of diagnosis you could try the link below for an engineer.Greg

ParticipantThanks for that info. Like you say the machine is 5 years old and maybe if the module is faulty, other than sourcing a s/hand one, I dont suppose its worth spending that amount on.

Never seen a 2nd hand module to be honest. Worth checking components and that earth leakage 😉 before biting the bullet.

ParticipantWill do, although the fault is intermittent which will make checking components hit and miss I guess. Anyway thanks very much for your advice. Its much appreciated.

ParticipantI read apost somewhere about the water inlet solenoids giving problems. Is that a possibility in this case ?

I would expect the Active lamp to be flashing if that was the case. Check what you can.

There is no doubt in my mind that the Programme Control Module is the fault as Gegsy suggests. The replacement costs well justified on this machine which is less than 5 years old after all. (Failures often are usually associated with the appliance being subjected to a damp or poorly ventilated environment which affects the electronic circuitry)
I would advise getting expert help fitting it and configuring the new Module, see link below 😉
