    HI,
Saw the error on a Smeg and thought ah quick clean out and problem sorted; that’s what I thought when I received the call 🙂

Not so, this is a brand new, unused machine in a new installation. When a program is starts the drain pump runs for roughly a minute and the fill solenoid operates in about 5 second pulses. This then stops and the machine starts to fill. after a short time the first (rinse) light comes on which indicates an overfill error. The pressure hoses appear OK and the pressure switch situated at the front/right works. If I remove the hose to the anti flood devise, when the machine fills, water pours out after a short time which i assume is giving the error when connected.

    Any ideas would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Keith.

It sounds like the pressure switch is either faulty or badly adjusted from new if the level is reaching “flood” before it switches the valve off.

Part number is 816210325 if you want to give that a go

I wondered about the pressure switch but having never had a faulty one from new and only having had to replace about 4 in 20years I didn’t think it likley, but there again we should always expect the unexpected!

    Thanks,

    Keith.
