Can you help with a problem with my dishwasher. I have a Whirlpool ADP2440WH. When I push the start button the drain pump runs for a few seconds then starts to fill as normal. The water shuts off when it appears to reach the correct level, although couldn’t say this 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}, then after a approx 5-6 seconds the mains light starts flashing 6 times. I’ve read your other threads and checked my flow meter. It spins and if I disconnect the wire from it before switching on the machine the mains light start to flash as soon as the water starts filling. Is there a water pressure sensor that may prevent the machine from operating?

Appreciate any advice you may be able to give. 🙂

This fault indicates a few things.
    1/ Low water pressure
    2/ Kinked fill hose
3/ Faulty or poor connection to flow meter from PCB
    4/ Faulty flow meter
    5 Fill valve defective
    6/ Occasionally PCB faulty

When I originally looked at it the mains inlet solenoid valve appeared stuck. I got it working but the machine still went into fault mode. I left it over night tried it again and it worked!! Does the fault need time to clear from the circuit board memory? Or maybe it just healed!!

    Thanks for your help 🙂

The only way to clear the fault is by holding the start button.
If the solenoid appeared stuck I would imagine an intermittent fault with the solenoid valve then.
