    called out to above machine today,drum turns freely with no bearing noise or wear.when the motor receives power to tumble it jams up as if the magnetic field is upset.after a short time of this it aborts with the LE error code.can any one help as i am unsure on what to try next.thanks

    hi,

    its normally the hall effect sensor on the motor that causes this fault, it is part of the motor assy, but on that note i have at one time been caught out and it turned out to be the PCB 😳

    Had a few samsung motors judder and abort, normally the board rather than the motor. I’m assuming its an induction motor on this LG.

    Every one I have had with that fault has been the motor.

    Just like to say that i have now fitted a new motor and all is fine.took a look at the hall effect sensor on the old motor but could not see any physical fault.
    Thanks to everyone that helped.
