LG Electronics said Monday that it has produced its 10 millionth front-loading washing machine.
The company credited its design and competitive capacity for reaching the milestone 17 years after production began.
LG introduced its first front-loading washing machine in 1990 when the market was dominated by Western businesses. Launching the brand Tromm, it began aggressive marketing from 2002.
To mark the 10 million milestone, LG has said that it will give a diamond gift to the lucky customer who buys the 10 millionth unit some time in August.
