Siemens WH54880GB/01 washer that has an intermittent problem in that the ‘End’ light sometimes comes on without it having spun. It pumps out fine, it spins and does everything you want it to 😕

BUT when it starts acting up, whenever you abort a wash (set dial to off) and then select any programme the ‘active’ light is on and away it goes 😯

You can turn it off, wait for the door to unlock, set any programme, seconds later the door locks and away it goes again without the need to press the start button 🙄

….first thought comes to mind here……..Module playing up!

Have any of you guys had the same fault?…Was it the Module??

I would appreciate your help if you know…thanks 🙂

I assume everything meggers out ok on the m/c ❓

I certainly haven’t come accross that fault before, it’s a bit of a weird one alright 😕

My gut feeling would be the same faulty module.

Had an Excell doing same stuff, found a tiny hole in door seal dribbling onto ntc and heater giving erratic ntc readings and earth leakage. Replaced both job sorted, but Im sure you’ve already meggered 😉

Not yet I haven’t, I went out last week on this and replaced duff motor brushes. At the time she mentioned about the active light thingy being intermittent, but it was OK when I was there. So I never looked any further.

Since then she’s been on the phone saying it does it all the time. As I have never had a machine like this that wouldn’t reset once you set it to off. I figured module??? 😕

She lives 24 miles away so I can’t just pop back and take a look very easily, so I went for the ‘remote diagnosis’ option to see if you guys had had the same fault?

    Thanks for your input 😀
