ParticipantI will come back this evening and post the model no. when I get home from work but in the meantime, I was wondering whether its possible to replace the seal on the freezer part of a zanussi fridge freezer.
The door closes but theres very little if any hold between door and fridge frame. I’d imagine its as a result of this that the freezers producing excess ice – and the motor seems to be running more than it should be (in my unqualified opinion).
IF this was the case and I could order up a seal, is it straightforward to install/attach it to the fridge?

That will dependon the model number 😉
Many are moulded to the door in the factory so they can’t be removed, a new door is the only solution in most cases 🙁

The seal is shown as a seperate part but please check that it can be replaced as often they are shown to be available but in practice are moulded as above.
The seal is £44.22 and the whole door £106.38 😯
An email to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk please if either are required 😀

Thanks for that Dave. Jeez, these whitegoods parts are bloody expensive 😮
I’ll have to persevere for a while as funds are tight following house move – but no doubt when the times right(or if the zanussi gets worse!), I’ll be back to order up.

Turned out that the door was slightly out of line ie. it needed to be tightened up – which I never noticed!
No new door needed thank god!
