ParticipantI have a Brandt COA380AU fridge/freezer (less than 3 years old!!). There is power going to the unit (green light on, plus light comes on in the fridge), but neither the fridge or the freezer is working. There is also no sound coming from the compressor at any time.
One other thing to note, is that every now and again in the last few months, a small puddle of water has appeared on the floor outside the unit on the right hand(hinge side). Don’t know if this has anything to do with it. Up until it stopped working, there were no performance issues and it kept a steady temperature.
Has anyone got any ideas as to what the problem might be?
Thanks

It sounds like the PCB I’m afraid, either that or the compressor has failed but the former is more likely 🙁
The PCB is roughly £50-£60 so I’d ask an engineer to check to be certain unless you have the means to test it (with the power off). The repairs@ link below should provide one 🙂

Thanks for the quick reply. I actually got the model wrong. It is a Brandt CFA361XU. Would that make a differnece to the diagnosis?
What do you need to test the PCB and where can it be found?

Nope, very much the same type of unit with a different PCB but roughly the same price 🙂

If you need to ask that then it’s engineer time in all honesty, I’m afraid we can’t go into specifics for legal and safety reasons 😉

I’ve got the old PCB out, do you know where I can get a new PCB from?
