Smeg have launched the DI912 pint sized widescreen dishwasher aimed at studio flats or kitchens where space is tight but you still need, or want, a dishwasher.
The machine is an interesting design with the cantilever type door on the front which allows the machine to be installed in an under-counter configuration with only 580mm of height required. The machine is however 860mm wide so it requires a lot more width than a standard machine.
Despite the size constrains the machine still takes the standard 12 place settings and offers a variety or programs.
Don’t expect this diminutive to be cheap however as it is a pretty specialised product, which likely means few discounts, and is expected to retail at about £930 in addition to which you will have to add the cost of the custom installation and doors.
