ParticipantHi,
I just bought a second-hand Fisher and Paykel GW601-K, and have plugged it in turned it on etc. everything lights up, but the start/pause button won’t work.
Have trawled forums, getting it to fill/empty in diagnostic mode. The error code comes up as 00100010, can anyone help me out with what I need to do with it? If I need to get a repairman I want to limit his time and effort by already knowing what needs fixing!!Thanks.

Can you feel the start button clicking on/off
The other buttons give the same contact as Start/pause Button
It is very common that this buttons do lose there contact
If you cant feel a definite clicking then your possibly up for a display module
Fault code indicates Brake resistor fault
Circuit that controls braking of motor is faulty
Could be Motor controller fault Or Display module FaultMotor Controller Part #426260p$220.00 Aus
Display Module Part#426033p $135.0AusAugust 19, 2006 at 1:24 am #185686bigsmokepiker

Thanks for your help, I can feel the start button clicking when I push it. Could this have happened whilst moving the washer in the car? Perhaps from water getting into the circuit?

Do you know if I’m able to differentiate between the two using a multimeter? And if so, how? That way I can just get the part and do it myself. Thanks!
