    hello again
sold wma 11 to a fella we delivered it to a caravan park
the man has connected it himself into one of those outside green boxes
after 2 weeks doorlock light was flashingwne out machine was damp internally and module had blownso changed door lock and module everything good again 1 month later had a phone call its doing it again
now i want to know the best way of keeping this machine dry so that i am not changing az board and d’lock every time it is damp
i have asked her to be a tarp to put over top of a blanket and also to put it on some wood rather than just stood on the plastic base
    any thoughts?
also would putting varnish on the module help as tony emw recommends for indesit and is there a similar idea for the door lock possibly a bag with a hole or something anything i dont know lol

    Re: wma 11

You are in for a hiding for nothing on this one. 🙁 No way will any form of lagging, insulation, sealing with varnish or such like, solve the problem? 😕 It’s just not possible!

The only acceptable environment is cool, dry and well ventilated. Not stuck in a green box outside like a wheelie bin!!!!

There is a ‘Housing Association’ site (posh term for Council estate) near me where some residents put their washers and dryers in an outside lock-up….! Several have put these WMA’s and Whirlpool AWM6000 series machines in and all of them have gone bang at some time or other. Every machine I have written off there, they have since bought new and moved their machine indoors out of the damp….the only way Jose’ 😉
