Does anyone know of a capacitor I could use.,as most capacitors are listed at much lower mfd values.

Eh ? 😕
You can order online, you only need to register and pay with a card, RS part number 117-170 (put in search box, select RS part number) is a 200uf capacitor +/- 25{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} will the trick

😕 Strange, just looked at the RS site. They call it a motor starter capacitor but they also call it an electrolytic. I thought electrolytic capacitors were only suitable for DC circuits.

Ah, just been reading up:

Quote:
“Since an electrolytic capacitor is polarity sensitive, its use is ordinarily restricted to a dc circuit or to a circuit where a small ac voltage is superimposed on a dc voltage. Special electrolytic capacitors are available for certain ac applications, such as a motor starting capacitor. Dry electrolytic capacitors vary in size from about 4 …..”Clear as mud 😀
