Yup, nails it down nicely. This machine requires you to split the casing and remove the entire drum assembly in order to change the bearings. A complete cow of a job – most repairers will allow two hours on site to do the job; some may even uplift it as a workshop job.
Apart from that, basic hand tools and a seriously large hammer and drift are all that’s required.
Bearings and seals may be purchased through the spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk facility on the site, as can the drum support , if required. Given the level of dismantling required, I would suggest that you check the condition of the drain pump and motor brushes whilst it’s all apart.
