    Hi,

My 12 year old AEG OKO Lavamat 605 washing machine has recently developed a leak. It doesn’t appear to leak during the wash cycle just when it’s pumping out the water.

I’ve had a nose around inside, the waste hoses appear to be fine. There’s no blockage and the don’t appear to be any leaks coming from the hoses and the pump appears to be working fine.

After it finishes pumping out some water settles around the pump, you can feel it in the hoses connecting to the pump, is this normal?
If so could it be a seal on the pump itself that is leaking?

Any help would be really appreciated.

    Cheers

    Re: leaking AEG

The machine is never quite empty, so water in the bottom hoses is quite normal. The pump seal was a weak spot, the back of the pump housing will be wet and there should be a wet area on the chassis beneath.

If you’re reasonably sure, you need one of these:

It is a completely different style of pump, but fits straight in.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the fast reply.

Is the best way to get access to the pump from the back of the machine is is there a better way to get to it?

    Cheers
