ParticipantHi guys, got me puzzled this one. Similar to the Hotpoint m/c under the skin, put on pre-wash, drain pump starts, fills for approx 1 min, wash motor kicks in ,but all the time drain pump is going ,therefore not enough water to wash with! 😥 Checked float switch,a-ok,pump no short on it, even checked fill valve. No sign of a leak in the base either.A’m I missing summat ❓ m/c just a few weeks out of warranty 🙁
cheers guys Chris 8)September 13, 2006 at 6:59 pm #188518Penguin45

Clean out the hose from the matrix to the sump – water will be backing up and operating the flood protection.

Thanx for the reply Chris, but I did that, all ok , looks as though the water just runs in & goes straight out again 😕 I have watched it with the lhs panel off, the float chamber stays dry! When its filling if i lift the rod up from the overflow float it cuts out the fill progress which I would think is correct, let go & it carries on ok till time out. Then it carries on pumoing & trying to wash!

You need a new module on that one.
Had a few now that fill and empty at same time, pcb has cured it every time.

Hi
Please look again at the model as it has a digit missing ie- SGS45E0?GB/56.
Then we can move on with price for module. 😀Greg
