ParticipantCan anyone enlighten me on the issue of LG dispensers leaking? 😕
I have a couple in my area that have started leaking from the dispenser during fill.
Cleaning it out doesn’t seem to cure the problem. Replacing the dispenser seems to be the only answer.
I can’t understand (or explain to my customers) why it should suddenly start leaking and what is different with the replacement part.
Any thoughts?

IIRC, there were a spate of these a year or so back – you have to replace the dispenser box.

You would have thought they would have taken some notice of the similar fault on the hoover soft & new wave range of machines.
will a restrictor in the inlet valve help ? , just an idea got 2 b cheaper than replacing dispenser

Had to replace one of these only yesterday, there is a modification in the design of the replacements which one would think may make little difference, little nozzles instead of holes, it works or at least it has for the time being. I suspect hard water ultimately responsible for generating fault. 🙂

The hole where the hose fits on gets blocked with scale, it is a nightmare in hard water areas. You can stop it leaking as a temp fix by unblocking the hole ……..The only permanent & reliable fix though is a new dispenser.
Along with, of course a scale inhibiting hose which will help relieve problem and add to your profit whilst saving customer a fortune on calgon. 😯
