I have whirlpool WDP 2440 with a problem. After a short time the program selected jumps to pre wash and the start button flashes 4 time.
Any ideas would be much appreciated.

    Hi Meza
You might want to re-check that model number, better still if you can find the 12 digit number below the barcode sticker, that would be great.

    Hi
Make sure it is emptying ok, if that is ok I would be looking for a crud build up below the filters, around the water indicater (WI) this is situated at the 3 o clock position.
If all clear there, you would be looking at a poor connection to WI,faulty WI or faulty PCB.

4 flashes on a Whirlpool is a drainage problem, is it brand new? check the installation, maybe a bung in the sink trap, or drainhose pushed into the standpipe to far?

has there been a broken glass in there?, take the filters out and feel inside the sump to see if anyting is there. If not, power off, remove the plinths make sure you have towells handy, because you will get wet! the pump is just a twist lock, push the clip down and twist the pump anti clockwise and you have access the the impellor.

(presuming the model is a full size dishwasher)
