    hi guys,
belling built in double oven 592BL 38 100144 (about 18 months old)

customer complained that the oven tripped the electric and now the M/O lamp in the oven doesn’t work.
went out and lamp holder contacts had burned out and caused an earth fault, no problem, fitted new genuine holder and off i went. called back 2 weeks later, exactly the same problem,so fitted new holder again U/G, is this a common fault on these?or is something else causing it?
one week later the customer says the M/O stat isn’t working correctly, she says it wont cut out and burns the food.i went out and it seemed fine right upto 230deg, are they prone for intermittent stat faults?
can anyone give me part no. for main stat. incase i need one?
    thanks.

Main oven thermostat is part number 082604989 🙂

It sounds lke that is the fault, probably also effecting the light if the contacts stay closed when they shouldn’t 😉

Or, perhaps the knob is goosed (matron 😯 ) spinning on the shaft……

    Re: belling oven problems

Had a single belling oven last week to repair,
fitted a circ element. Just about to go, customer
complains of always overheating. Tested, the temp neon
and thermostat are cutting in and out but oven is still heating!
I have ordered a selector switch and will have more time to trace
the fault next visit. It must be picking up via the selector switch
or a melted wire. I assumed neon off = no heat
