    Hi, can anyone advise me if pump 187970 could be replaced by pump 165261? as I’m about to order one but 187970 is out of stock but 165261 is in stock, they look similar in photo’s

    I wouldn’t think so IMHO, as these are two different part numbers for a reason I would think.
    Did you try an email to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk ❓ 😀

    Just an after thought Martin.

    what kind of affect would the different impeller cause, slower draining rate?

    Hi!
    Just to add…….
    187970 is fitted to the SGS GV600 range, This is the one with the tin base that has acces from underneath to motor,pump heater box etc and plastic inside the machine
    165261 is fitted to the SGS range with the plastic chassis and all stainless inside/acess to pump impellor from sump cover inside machine.
    The impellors are very different and as far as i know are not interchangable, should imagine discharge rate would be affected as shape of impellor wouldn’t match housing?
    Sorry to be a sad anorak 😳
