ParticipantHi all….
i’m glad i found this forum !
i’ve had a good read and no one seems to have had this same problem. set onto a normal program will go through to spin cycle and after being at full spin for a few minutes it then ceases spinning and the door lock red led pulses quickly and the green led’s 1, 2 and 4 flash on and off at around 1 second intervals. i have checked the easy bits like blocked pipe and flushed out any pipes i could get off .. when the leds start flashing you can still here the pump for a couple of minutes but the drum doesn’t move at this point ..
not sure where to go from here .. some one suggested brushes on the motor but it does spin up to full speed before it fails ..
any help appreciated !
thanks
nik
p.s. isn’t there just a directory somewhere of all the fault codes ??

Neons 1,2 & 4 suggest a fault on the dryer side NTC or dryer fan. Could be a simple broken wire to the NTC ( temperature control device) on top of the dryer heater box. Several other possible causes, please remove the mains plug if you open it up.

thanks jim
i have been testing further today and i get the same fault condition if i just set it on a spin cycle on its own ..
after reaching full speed for a few mins its stops the cycle and shows the leds …
would this still point towards a dryer fault ?, i will still check the connections though !
cheers

ParticipantIndesit WIDL 126 s drying fan not working
I think I’ve got the same problem as
http://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/modules.p … ly&t=20685
It’s quite stiff to turn, and a small amount of water just wept out around the top of the spindle! Very odd.
Is it best to just replace the motor..?

It’s late 🙂
I’ve got a WIDL 126 S.
The drying fan has stopped working. Opening the housing up reveals the fan & motor to be quite stiff to turn. Very curiously, a small amount of water wept out around the top of the spindle, past the bearings, when I was playing with it – didn’t expect water anywhere near there.
I think I’m doomed to just buying a new motor, but wondered if there was anything else to try. Is it a common failure?

Its an Indesit machine, everything on it is a ‘common failure’ 😉
There is only one long term, satisfactory solution. 😉
