    Hoover auto washer ACM11 01. N 37616679.

Machine will cut out completely at different points during a wash cycle. The door locked light also goes out and door unlocks. But if the machine is switched off and the dial reset to the same programme, it starts the cycle again and will progress through as normal. 😕 Fills, heats, motor action, drains, filter and sump/pressure system clear and spins OK.
Am I looking at PCB board or slave timer? Slave timer creaks like old floorboards when turned by hand. Any ideas?? :hmm:

    Thanks in advance,

    Steve.

Had faults caused by both the pcb and timer/selector. 9 times out of 10 you just need to change the timer/selector. Your fault does sound like it could be the pcb though. Check for low insulation and water contaminated pump first. (Its always worth putting a drip cover on the pump.)

I know its nice to know a definitive answer but on this sort of fault, if you don’t want a recall, i would price up the pcb change and just add £20 to cover changing the timer/selector as well.

(i always carry a timer/selector for test purposes now as its a nice quick job plus the timer/selectors fit a whole range of models unlike the pcb’s.)
