Hi Loz
The most common problem is the feed pipe which goes through the freezer door to the water dispenser freezeing up if the water dispenser isn’t used regularly. Easist way is to turn appliance off for 24hours and see if fault has gone. If so, regular use of the water dispenser should prevent that fault re-occuring.
Another option is that the fill solenoid that feeds the water dispenser has failed. The easiest way is to to check is to pull the appliance out and get someone to activate the water dispenser paddle and listen for a low hum coming from the rear r/h corner in conjunction with the operation of said lever.
The ice maker water feed is totally different system so will not be affected.Greg

Thanks Greg will try turning off for 24 hours and see. We do get a hum if we try the water lever however.
If it is the later is that an expensive job?

Hi
Tthe hum is good news  its indicating that the water valve for water dispensing is operating, but beacuse of the ice blockage in the pipe the water cannot complete its journey. After the 24 hours I can see no reason why it shouldn’t be back to normal 😉Greg
