Participanthi no heat on dryer,ive tested the element and thats fine.wondering if its the stat or some themal type fuse fault? any help much appreciated.

It could be? And you can’t rule out the main Module board either at this stage. 😥

is there a way of testing the stat?appears to b a wire running from stat to a connector block which is open circuit is this the thermal fuse wire?

right got the new fuse but im assuming its gone for a reason?from other posts i gather the venting could be full of fluff anyone clarify?

Rear duct full of fluff, fan full of fluff, fan motor not running, no cold water condenser feed and earth leakage on element can all cause the thermal fuse to fail; as can stopping it and opening the door before it finishes.

hi penguin thanks for reply but is one of the above more common than the rest.i know the cold feed is ok and fan is working just not had chance to check for fluff. missus is bending my ear! many thanks

theyre all common
its an indesit after all
just generally check for fluff blockages and/or things not functioning
condenser blocked is probably on the money.. but id get someone in, i once cut myself real bad getting one of those out, theres a LOT of sharp edges in there, and takes some experience getting it out
and i wouldnt be surprised if you fitted the fuse and it worked ok
