Have a good read of this article before you plump for LG. http://tinyurl.com/zez8h
Then ask yourself if you cannot possibly find room for a separate dryer. There is only one advantage to a washer/dryer, they save space and nothing else, there are many drawbacks to having a washer/dryer but if you really cannot avoid having one then you should look to Bosch or other BSH group products before LG.

Avoid them if you can but Zanussi would be my choice, if you can get a non Jetsystem model that would be better as the limescale blocks these up early on in their life. Also buy the split cabinet version as these are best.

Apart from the fact that the Electrolux group which includes Zanussi, Bendix & AEG amongst others have now introduced a one piece, sealed outer drum on many of their recent machines. This means that there is no bearing or drum shaft repair, also should you be unlucky enough to lose a sock, bra wire, coin or similar object between the inner & outer drum and be unable to retrieve it from either the heater or sump hose apertures you would need a complete drum replacement. 😥

Here’s a good bet from this link 😉
If you want better then the only option is a Miele at twice the price.

Installed a brand new zanussi washer dryer on Fri which still had the bolted drum Jim but as you say they could land up with a welded tub we just dont know whats under the bonnet at the moment.

TurboVery true, there is a good chance your Siemens W/D will have Red Dwarf and pasta connections. 😉
