My Indesit DI620 appears to be working perfectly , BUT when it finishes lights 2 and 4 are flashing which prevents a restart.

Switching of at the mains for 2 minutes clears the problem and the machine then works normally.

    Any ideas ?

Thats something of a novelty these days 😥

Neons 2+4 suggest a heater related fault, the tube elements on these do fail often, yours should however have an element that you can see inside the tub, does it look mishapen or distorted in any way?

These codes are only a pointer to the general area of the fault, further investigation with the correct test equipment is needed.

Please remove the mains plug if you intend to proceed yourself.

    Follow Up.

Just as an experiment I thoroughly cleaned out the filters and spray bars and ran a cleaning fluid througgh on the Number 1 cycle.

    Problem solved !

Just goes to show how misleading some of these codes can be, although if there is poor water flow the heater circuit could be interrupted.

A good idea to rinse the dishes well before putting them in the machine.
