My partner stopped the cycle as the machine was noisy. I’ve emptied & bled it out, finding a penny in the process. When rotated by hand, it sounds as if another coin (or similar) is still in the machine – the noise continues for a split second after the drum is stopped, so I’m fairly confident (Hopeful!) that it’s not a bearing problem.
How do I get to between drum & housing to remove the offending item?
    Thanks
    Andy

    To update earlier post :
I’ve taken the big hose off the bottom and drained all the water. But nothing else has appeared & the noise persists……..
    And suggestions welcome!

Sorted! A pound coin eventually emerged via the bottom drain.

You don’t, inner and outer drum are a sealed assembly costing just under £125.00 for the part. 😥 It is also quite common for coins to slice holes in these ultra thin drums, suggest extreme care in future. The later Indesit, Hotpoint & Ariston machines together with several other manufacturers now come with sealed poly drums as well, making any repair such as bearings, drum supports, inner drums etc into a complete drum change every time. When the time comes to change it make sure you investigate just what you are buying the next time.

    Jim.
