I’d have gone for 09200452 – core board, preprogrammed. Haven’t got a clue how to configure yours……. Sorry.

Last “pre-configured” board I bought (not this one) was about ยฃ35 plus VAT, which wasn’t too bad really.

Indeed they don’t, and in fact they come as a Programming Unit Kit (Pt No 4900727) Which comprises of an Interface Box, Mains Cable, Serial Cable, Ribbon Cable, Shunts and an extracting tool. Software (downloaded from the Internet) for each model’s coreboard can be loaded (Winzipped files) and programmed. All products (w/m’s, D/w’s, Ovens etc) can be configured, re-programmed and fault diagnosed using this equipment. ๐ฏ
The same sort of apparatus is now being used by most whitegoods manufacturers (currently Hoover, Indesit, Miele supply to their staff only) that do not pre-programme their module/interface boards and eeproms. Which is a worrying prospect for all independents, work providers and insurance companies whenever this type of component failure occurs.
Technology gone stark raving mad if I am any judge? ๐ฟ

Martin & Chris,
I wonder why in this forum nobody talks about the way to bypass this kind of “unrespect” ๐ฟ from manufactures for our job.
I’m talking about anybody (who had a little knowledge about computers and electronics in order to do some job to reprogram one EPROM) can discuss and interchange files (bin’s). It isnโt so hard to dismantle one chip and run one computer program. Iโve spoke from my position, with one little and easy to made programmer which can be find free on internet (or more easily to buy). So I managed with Whirlpool/Bauknecht; Ariston/Indesit; Hotpoint. I have also some files from Hoover/Candy like here related. But in this case I didn’t do this kind of job on Hoover in order to see its results because I did not need. What I wanted to say is that itโs more cheep and quickly, in order to complete one job to buy one (EEPROM) programmer and using all people to share files found on the jobs instead to buy another pre-programmed programmer or module from suppliers.
Can also buy such tools: from Whirlpool so called SAM; from Indesit/Ariston so called Hardware Key Seriall together LB Sat and WM Doctor and so on. But like Martin said is like just for them own trade.

ParticipantNeed to order pre-programmed core board for this machine.
Chris indicated core board 09200452 but espares web page shows board 09200602 for this machine. (Hoover website useless) Already bought wrong board once!
Is it a case were either board will do – If not which one?
Help much appreciated!

You weren’t seriously going to buy it from espares, were you?
My tech info came up with the number – Martin might like to double check in the morning – he has access to a bit more than I do.

ParticipantThanks Martin,
Only use espares to check corresponding model numbers. But I do have a problem because qualtex, masterpart & homespares (the 3 trade ones I use!)
dont appear to stock this one.
Any suggestions? – regarding buying the board of course!March 1, 2007 at 3:13 pm #205576Martin
ParticipantRe: HOOVER HNWL 6136
Most wholesalers not stocking it is often a sign there is not call for one? ๐
If you phone Masterpart, maybe they can tell you a likely delivery date?
