    Hi

I have had a Indesit DI 620 for about 2 weeks and its not drained twice.

    The 2nd is flashing.

The draininage hose sits at about 1 metre at its highest point, just before it dips into the waste pipe

Can anyone point me in the direction of what the problem may be and how to resolve it.

    TIA

Pump blockages are the most common cause of this problem, small bits of glass, bone, plastic. wood etc will easily stop the pump. As this machine is integrated your biggest problem may be getting it out. Once you have it free, remove the mains plug, place several towels on the floor and lay the machine down on its left side ( looking from the front) onto the towels, remove the base taking care with the wiring to the float switch and follow the grey plastic drain hose into the machine you should be able to locate the pump. Fairly easy from there onwards.

    Jim.

NB. The second light flashing is supposed to indicate a fill valve fault.

Presumably a blockage. Access extremely awkward……. Machine will have to come out to let you get at the pump from underneath.

If it is brand new, you are in guarantee, of course.

Power off if you are going to investigate further.

trouble is, if it is blocked, and merloni come to it, they’ll bill you, wont they?

the manual always suggests rinsing plates before puttin them in the dishwasher

    good luck
