ParticipantHi all, been taking a look at your forum and it looks good… glad to be a member here.
I have a problem with my dryer, creda t622cw. It’s not playing ball. I start her up, and within a few minutes it trips out. This resets after a few minutes, and I restart, and you guessed it. Ad finatum.
I’ve dropped off the cover, rear and sides and cleaned out all the dust and fluff from where I can get fluff-removing implements – ditto with all the venting etc. I’ve run it as is, with all covers off, and the same thing happens. My next thought was that the heating element was dicky, so I disconnected that and ran the machine again – same result.
Looking at viewtopic.php?f=33&t=4619
suggests the relay is at fault. Is this a safe assumption? And if so, would you be so kind as to direct me to a parts retailer?Regards…

edit: In the above linked topic, is the relay mentioned the trip relay, situated behind the front fascia?

yup, its probably the relay
however.. just try one thing 1st?check the plug/socket.. ive had rafts of these doing that and its the live connection burnt in the socket outlet..
it might not be that, but your gonna be well hacked off if you change the relay and its still the same
hope this helps

Relay can be found here.

A common fault. I assume that when you say that ‘after five minutes it trips out’ you mean that it stops working rather than trips out the power.
Not that difficult to change, some very sharp edges though, be careful.
It is not a ‘trip relay’ as such. It is a safety device fitted to all large door appliances to prevent small people from climbing inside and switching the machine on then closing the door.

helo_75, I took a look at the plug and it’s a sealed unit, so that line of reasoning ain’t too relevant here… altho’ thanks for your input!

Mr Seaton is trade helo, that said I do not think his post serves any useful purpose whatsoever, raking up a thread that is over 12 months old to add a comment like that is utterly pointless.
