    Hi,
The engineer has had a quick look at our leaking dishwasher and confirmed what I thought, i.e. the leak is coming from somewhere up the right hand side (up where the fresh water inlet to the main wash area is).

From looking at the exploded view of a dishwasher under the help and advice section is this likely to be a leak within some kind of matrix and if so, how easy will this be to fix? I was advised that it would be over £100 to fix and considering its nearly half the cost of a new one, thought i’d have a go myself.

Just want to know what i’m letting myself in for.

Also, I guess the easiest way is to lay it on it’s side and remove the bottom panel?

    cheers

Big trouble if your next comment is taken literally….. 🙁

Never, repeat, never lay a diswasher on its side…OK? Only lay it on its back…. 😉

What make and model are we talking about anyway? 😕

Thanks for that. Was just going home to make a start.

Diplomat ADP8242. Hoping it is just a seal issue rather than a damaged component.

Ok, I,ve got the side panel off (without leaning it over) and have found the leak. Its from the bottom of the inlet matrix where it joins salt container. It looks like it just needs a new o’ring.

Question is, how do I remove the matrix? Do i have to unscrew the inlet from inside the machine? its very, very tight.

    cheers

Managed to drop the salt tank and swap the o ring. Now working without the leak.

Great, just saved a tidy sum.

    Cheers for help.
