ParticipantHi there,
I’m new to this forum, primarily because I just bought a Fisher & Paykel Smartdrive washing machine (model LW035-F ) which has a problem.
It starts the wash cycle ok (I think) by intermitantly squirting water down on the clothes, then rotating the drum, and repeating. This happens for about 1 min, then it stops, beeps, and dislays an error code: 00101011 which equates to code 43.
I live in NZ, so rang a company called Axial who are the primary technicians and spare parts dealer for F&P whiteware in NZ. They told me it was an “Out of Balance” switch.
Can anyone please describe where this switch is located in my machine, so I can do the standard Kiwi thing and try to fix it myself. I’ve read this post: http://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/modules.p … c&p=126641 which describes a few potential problems with this switch.
Thanks for any helps

43 is the OOB switch……… Top deck can be removed by undoing two screws at the back of the machine. OOB (and lid) switch both suffer from vibration and corrosion problems. You need to check function and integrity of the switch and wiring. While the top is off, ensure that the bias spring is connected to the tub in the front left corner. This prevents the tub riding against the lever. As you have recently bought it, I presume it will have been moved, so this is a distinct possibility.

Thanks Penguin45, I hoped you’d reply, as from all the other posts you seem like the guy who knows stuff!
Thanks for your description. I’ll check them out tonight.
Cheers

Safety device – ensure that a new switch is installed at the earliest opportunity.
