I have a problem with the above machine. It was showing an Error Message 5E and making quite a noise, so I checked the debris filter. When I removed this I saw a little small impeller type thing and noticed that this wasn’t attached and presumed this was what the noise was. This easily pushed back on, but ever time I put the machine on spin it makes the noise again and the impeller doesn’t stay on. Any ideas?

    Or this:

Or, if you can wield a screwdriver with aplomb:
    http://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/modules.p … cts_id=165

Once the impellor comes off, it will not stay back on, so replacement is your only option.

Power off, if you’re going to do this yourself.

Thanks for the quick response. Is it easy to do or should I be looking for a good engineer in the Hull area…. 😯

Fairly straightforward – if you tip the machine back, you can get it from underneath. Power off, of course.

Guarantee may not have been stood in these circumstances anyway – it’s invariably foreign object damage which knocks the impellor off. 5p’s are excellent at it 😀 .

    Hi

Check your user manual Samsung washing machines should have a two year guarrantee . Phone Samsung with model and serial numbers both found on rear of machine. And have proof of purchase ie:invoice or delivery note handy. Just tell them it will not drain and is noisy .

The unit is under a 2 year warranty from samsung

Any unit purchased prior to 01.05.2006 has this warranty. Anything after that is a 12 month warranty

I’m all sorted now. Engineer has been fixed the problem I thought it was. Still under warranty and I didn’t have to have proof of purchase..

    Glad to hear.

In case you werent aware, the repair on the unit carries a 3 month warranty with is separate from the manufacturing warranty itself.
