Hi. Does anyone know how to test the water temperature sensor (NTC) in a whirlpool G2PDWI/1WH? I’ve measured the resistance at about 50 Kohms at 20C. Is this OK?

Reading is acceptable. Owing to the quirks of these machines, it still doesn’t mean that it’ll work……..

Should I buy a new NTC probe and try it? It’s cheaper than a new control board. On startup, the machine fills with water normally but then the buzzer sounds and the fault light starts flashing. The drain pump then starts up.
Can you think of anything else I should try?
    Thanks – Kevin.

the symptoms you’ve got are the same as one i repaired with a new ntc. but the confusing thing was that the resistance on both the faulty one and the replacement one were virtually the same.
when it sprung to life and has worked for months since, i don’t know why.

Thanks for the suggestions. The pressure switch is fine. I’m going to try a new NTC probe.
