    Hello all.

As the subject says, my hotpoint doesn’t want to pump out, it just swooshes around for ages before stopping with error F-05. No pump noise at all, so I assumed something was jamming the pump.

After much swearing at the plastic clips I got the pump out but nothing, pump was clean and impeller turns freely. Nothing in the sump trap either. Put it all back together and lo and behold it works. Next wash was ok until the the end of the first rinse, again it wouldn’t empty with no pump noise again.

So what to do next, maybe problem with the electronics? Is there anything else I can do before I get Mr Hotpoint out to look at it?

    thanks

did you take the sump hose off to check for blockages, also you could take the pump chamber off to ensure that there isnt anything wrapped round the impellor?
plug out if you check it.

I took everything off, all hoses, the sump and removed the pump. Everything is clean as a whistle. I didn’t take the pump chamber off as I haven’t got the correct torx bits but I stuck a thin screwdriver inside to rotate the impeller which turns ok.

I suspect electronics as the pump seems to be ok now but now I’m getting error F-08 when I start a spin only cycle. I’ve done a full wash since and everything was ok.

I’ve had minor hiccups before with this machine and leaving it unplugged overnight usually clears them for some reason.

Thanks for the reply and I’ll post back if I have further problems.

Using the forum search facility, type in…Indesit AND eight AND Flashes, in that exact format and search this forum, it will not make for pleasant reading. 😥

    Jim.
